40%. That's how much of the Torah I've read since beginning my seminary read-through. (I'm going through the whole Bible, even books I know I've fully read before.) Genesis: Family relationships, beginning of God's covenant relationships, creation, consequences, morality. Exodus: slavery, freedom, worship (sacrifices, place, festivals, community), justice & mercy, calling & enabling.
Reading these books, I can only pray my relationship with & devotion to God sets me apart & allows me to approach the Holy of Holies. Hearing & obeying God's calling is just the beginning. How do I daily give my life & self to Him so I am useful for His kingdom?
